Tutorial: Step by step

Step 1 HOT GLASS

Insert the HOT GLASS in the microwave for the time specified in the instructions for use.

If you heat it too long, the gel inside will expand and the bag will be inflated until the content is poured.

The last minute in the microwave is advised to interrupt every 15 seconds and knead the gel inside with your hands to distribute the heat.

Step 2 Scanner

Before you start make sure the iPad is off.

Apply heat to the screen for a couple of minutes.

Step 3

While suctioning up the screen, insert the tip of the prong under the digitizing glass and go around the contour to release the glue. Avoid the area highlighted in red (lower right side), since the flex cables are located there.

As it separates, use the thick prongs as a wedge so that it does not stick again.

Step 4

Once detached, open the glass as if it were the cover of a book, leaving the flex data cables to the right.

Do not pull hard as it could break the glass. Apply heat as many times as necessary to remove it easily.

Step 5 Display

Remove the 4 Phillips screws that hold the display. Two of them are covered by a tape.

Step 6

Lift the screen taking care not to damage the flex that connects to the board.

Step 7

Remove the metal cover held by 3 Phillips screws.

Step 8

Disconnect the flex cable from the motherboard and remove the display.

Step 9 Scanner

Disconnect the 2 flex cables.

Remove the adhesive covering the home button connector.

Step 10

Disconnect the flex from the home button. To do this, pull the connector tab and pull the cable gently.

Step 11

Separate the scanner.

Step 12 SIM tray

Remove the SIM tray

Step 13 SIM card reader

Remove the adhesive covering the connector.

Disconnect the flex cable from the SIM card reader.

Step 14

Take off and remove the SIM card reader.
