Before you start, make sure the iPad is turned off.

Step 2 Opening

To access the interior of the iPad, we must take off the screen. It has a strip of double-sided adhesive on the entire frame. We will apply heat to soften the adhesive and peel off easily.

We recommend the Hot Glass, a blanket filled with a gel of high thermal retention, suitable for microwaves.

Simply insert the Hot Glass in the microwave for a couple of minutes (see instructions) and apply heat directly to the screen.

Step 3

If you have the special thermal tablecloth for tablets, just put the iPad on it, with the screen facing down and adjust the thermostat between 50 and 60 º C.

Step 4

Hold the screen with the suction cup.

Insert the tip of the prong under the glass and go around the contour to detach the adhesive.

Place thicker tines in the wedge-shaped areas.

Step 5

Separate the screen by pulling the suction cup leaving the lower part (where the home button is) by the data flexes.

Handle gently so as not to damage the data flexes.

Step 6

Remove the metal shield covering the connectors, secured by 3 Phillips screws.

Step 7

Disconnect the data flexes from the motherboard and separate the screen.

Step 8 Upper shield

Remove the upper metal shield, held by 4 Phillips screws.

Step 9 Front camera

Disconnect the camera from the motherboard and remove it from the chassis by pushing with the opening tool.

Step 10 Rear camera

Unplug the rear camera from the motherboard and remove it by pushing it out with the opening tool.

Step 11 Audio connector

Remove the metal shield, held by 2 Phillips screws.

Step 12

Remove the Phillips screw that holds the connector.

Unplug and take off the flex.

Step 13 Coaxial cables

Disconnect the antenna coaxial from the motherboard.

Take off and separate the cables enough to remove the motherboard.

Step 14 Microphone

Remove the microphone stand, held by a Phillips screw.

Unplug the microphone flex on the motherboard.

Step 15

Remove the Phillips screw from the battery connector.

Remove the 4 screws of the charging connector, 2 of them covered by adhesive tape.

Step 16

Push the charging connector backwards to remove it.

Step 17 Motherboard

Use the Hot Glass to heat the metal case, just behind the motherboard. This will soften the glue.

Peel off the base plate by prying it very gently with the flat part of the opening tool.

Step 18

Peel off the plate next to the load flex.
