Step 2

Before starting to disassemble we remove the digital pen from the bottom of the phone.

Step 3 Back case

As always, to begin with, we will remove the back cover. We will use a plastic opening tool to separate the case without scratching or damaging the terminal.

Step 4 Battery and SIM and microSD cards

We remove the SIM and microSD cards. To remove the SIM card it will be necessary to previously remove the battery.

Step 5 Heat screen

In this step we will need to heat the glass to soften the glue and thus be able to remove the screen more easily.

Below we will see two ways to perform this step.

We will use a high thermal retention blanket (HOT GLASS) to heat the glass.

Insert the HOT GLASS in the microwave for the time specified in the instructions.

To heat it evenly, it is necessary to interrupt the microwave every 30 seconds to distribute heat throughout the HOT GLASS with your hands.

The gun emits VERY hot air, use with caution.

We recommend the use at minimum power and short bursts, since excess heat can damage the equipment.

Warm the screen to soften the glue and be able to easily peel it off.

Step 6 Take off screen

Using a pick we will take off the screen of the frame. To help us introduce the barb between the frame and the screen, we can push a little from the back as we showed in the first photos.

The screen is attached to the chassis. It is possible that when removing it, the protective metallic film that it brings in the rear part will be damaged. This should not affect the operation of this.

Step 7 Disconnect screen

After taking off the screen we will have access to the LCD and touch screen connectors. We will only have to disconnect them before removing the screen.

Step 8 Intermediate housing

To separate the intermediate housing first we will remove the 16 Phillips screws (PH # 00) that hold it. After removing them, we will lever between the chassis and the casing to separate them.

Step 9 Removing the motherboard

To remove the motherboard, first remove the Phillips screw (PH # 00) marked on the lower left in the first photo. Then we will disconnect the flex from the home button and the antenna cables.

When lifting the plate we can disconnect the flex from the bottom plate.

Step 10 Motherboard

Finally we disconnect the components that are still connected to the motherboard.
