Tutorial: Step by step

Step 1 Screws and SIM tray

We start by removing the two Pentalobe 0.8mm screws (TS1) that hold the case to the chassis and we will also remove the SIM / SD tray.

Step 2 Back case

To separate the chassis housing, we will pry between it and the frame.

Once separated, we remove the shield that holds the flex fingerprint sensor and side buttons and disconnect it.

The shield is secured with a Phillips screw (PH # 00), like all the ones we'll find inside the phone.

Step 3 Disconnect components

In this step, remove the shield covering the interconnection flex and the screen flex and disconnect them together with the flex of the battery.

Step 4 Removing the motherboard

Remove the three Phillips screws (PH # 00) that still hold the plate and disconnect the coaxial antenna cable.

Now we can undo the base plate of the chassis.

Step 5 Proximity sensor

All that remains is to detach and disengage the sensor.
