Tutorial: Step by step

Step 1 Tray

First we will remove the tray.

Step 2 Back case

We apply heat to the back cover to soften the adhesive, and with the help of a tine we will remove all the edges of the housing. Once it is detached we must disconnect the fingerprint reader.

Step 3 Shields

We remove all the Torx screws (T4) that hold the shields.

Step 4 We disconnected battery

We disconnected the battery to avoid other problems.

Step 5 Upper shield

We extract the 3 Torx screws (T4) that hold the upper shield.

Step 6 Speaker

Remove the five Torx screws (T4) that hold the speaker module and extract it.

Step 7 Components

We disconnect all the components that are connected to the motherboard.

Step 8 Screws

Remove the two Torx screws (T4) that hold the base plate.

Step 9 Front cameras and motherboard

We remove the front cameras, disconnect the coaxial cables and we can remove the base plate.

Step 10 Battery with wireless charging

Using the adhesive strips that protrude from the top of the battery, we remove the battery that we have to replace.

In case the adhesive strips break, we can introduce a plastic tool with care.
