Step 2 Opening

Hold the screen with the suction cup. Separate the housing around the entire contour, levering with the double opening tool.

Step 3

Pull the suction cup while holding the lid with the tool to separate it.

Step 4 Touch screen

Disconnect the data flex from the touch screen. To do this, we activate the plastic tab of the connector and gently pull the flex cable.

Step 5

The screen is attached to the chassis by a strip of adhesive that runs all the way around.

To detach it we will apply heat to soften the adhesive and to peel off easily.

We suggest 2 methods:

  1. Hot Glass: Heat blanket for microwaves. (Advised)
  2. Hot air nozzle: Incuded in the SMD welding stations.

Step 6

Heat the edges of the touch screen glass with the method you prefer.

Step 7

Insert the tip of the prong between the glass and the plastic chassis.

Go around the contour by peeling off the adhesive strip all around.

Step 8

As you separate the glass, insert thicker quills as a wedge, so that the adhesive does not stick again.

Avoid the area of ??the data flex since you could cut it with the pick.

Step 9

Separate the touch screen, starting from the opposite side of the data flex.

Step 10

Finally, detach the flex data cable.
