Tutorial: Step by step

Step 1 Back cover

Before starting make sure that the equipment is turned off.

Remove the back cover using the opening tool, thus avoiding scratches on the equipment.

Step 2

This model only allows you to remove the battery and the SIM card by removing the back cover.

For the other components you must remove the screen.

Step 3 Battery

Remove the battery by pulling it from the bottom.

Step 4 HOT GLASS

Insert the HOT GLASS in the microwave for the time specified in the instructions for use.

If you heat it too long, the gel inside will expand and the bag will be inflated until the content is poured.

The last minute in the microwave is advised to interrupt every 15 seconds and knead the gel inside with your hands to distribute the heat.

Step 5 screen

Apply heat to the screen for a couple of minutes.

Step 6

Insert the tip of the fine prong into the joint between the screen and the housing.

Move it around the contour gently to release the glue.

Avoid passing the barb on the lower side since there are flexes of the navigation buttons.

The display is fragile. Do not force it as it could break it. Apply heat again as many times as necessary to remove it easily.

Step 7

Insert thicker tines in the areas that separate. This way you can apply heat again without sticking again.

Step 8

Separate the upper part by a few centimeters and disconnect the flex that joins the plate and the display.

Step 9

Separate the screen leaving the lower part joined by the flex of the navigation buttons and the home button.

Step 10

Take off the "home" button and the flex of the lower touch buttons.

Step 11 Intermediate housing

Remove the 10 Phillips screws from the front and 3 from the back.

Step 12

With an opening tool release the plastic hooks that connect the housing to the chassis.

Step 13

Separate the chassis housing.

Step 14 Home button with fingerprint reader.

Disconnect the flex cable from the motherboard and pull on the opposite side to remove it.

Step 15 Motherboard

Remove the Phillips screw located in the center of the plate, just below the rear camera.

Disconnect the coaxial cables from the motherboard.

Step 16

Separate the base plate from the chassis.

Disconnect the connector on the bottom plate that holds the plate together.

Step 17 Rear camera

To remove the rear camera, simply disconnect it from the plate.
